Fiber

Fiber

Fiber optic network cable is the backbone between switches. There are two types of fiber:

Armored Fiber: This is the more expensive fiber and would only be used if you need it to be run through warehouses or locations where it can be damaged.

Unarmored Fiber: This is the cheaper option and is used where there is no risk of the fiber being damaged, such as within your own building or in an office suite.

If you need a repair or troubleshoot, we can send one of our technicians there to diagnose the issue. While on-site, we perform new terminations if there is a connector issue, and we also test the fiber patch cords to make sure everything will be running smoothly again.

If you’re considering a fiber optic solution and are interested in determining if it’s the right solution for you contact us and one of our estimators would be happy to assist you!
